The main drive engine and gearbox controller

This PolyWatt PLC is being developed in stages. The first stage is for monitoring shaft and engine RPM and temperatures including various drive system alarm functions. Later on control of engine speed and drive engagement will be added. Two essentially identical controllers will be installed, one for each engine and gearbox.

The starboard engine and gearbox panel.

Behind the starboard engine and gearbox panel. Most of this wiring will be replaced with the new PolyWatt PLC.

The engine RPM pickup. This will feed into one of the PLC comparator inputs.

The port magnetic quadrature propeller shaft RPM pickup.

One cylinder exhaust temperature pickup. This will feed into an analog input.
